Terms of Service
Last updated August 14, 2026
1. Who we are
Frennd (“Frennd,” “we,” “us”) operates a social lodging platform that lets people stay with, and host, friends and friends-of-friends. By creating an account or using Frennd, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Frennd.
2. Who can use Frennd
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Frennd. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and to keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password secure.
3. How Frennd works
Frennd connects members through their real-world social graph. You can see and be seen by your friends and, where a host allows it, friends-of-friends. Hosts create listings and set their own prices, availability, and house rules. Guests request stays, which hosts confirm or decline. Frennd is a venue that helps members find and arrange stays with people they trust — we are not a party to the agreement between a host and a guest, and we do not own, manage, or inspect any listed property.
4. Bookings, payments, and pricing
Stays are arranged between host and guest. Payment for a stay is handled directly between the host and guest using the payment method the host accepts; Frennd does not process stay payments or hold funds. Membership fees, where they apply, are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) under the plan and any promotion shown at signup. You can manage or cancel your membership at any time from your account.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to treat other members with respect, to honor the commitments you make, and to use Frennd only for lawful purposes. You will not misrepresent who you are, list a property you are not entitled to offer, harass other members, scrape the service, attempt to defeat our privacy or visibility controls, or use Frennd to send spam.
6. Content you share
You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you post. You grant Frennd a limited license to host and display that content so the service can function. Do not post content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes someone else's rights.
7. Trust, safety, and your own judgment
Frennd is built around trusted circles, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of any member or the condition of any property. Use your own judgment before staying with or hosting someone, and take the same sensible precautions you would with any travel arrangement.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Frennd and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other members or for Frennd.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Frennd is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Frennd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from any stay arranged through it.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let members know. Continuing to use Frennd after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Founding promotion
During our launch promotion, new members who join in the promotional window can receive their first year of membership free by (a) creating a listing and inviting five friends who join through their invite link before the promotion deadline, and (b) keeping at least one active listing on their profile for their first six months. The listing only needs to remain active — it does not need to be available for booking on any particular dates. If you do not maintain an active listing throughout your first six months, the standard membership fee (currently $6/year, or the local-currency equivalent) applies and may be charged to your payment method on file.
12. Reporting and misconduct
If another member misuses Frennd or behaves badly toward you, you can report them from your conversation with them or from their profile. Reports are reviewed by our team, not shared with the person you reported, and may result in a warning, suspension, or a permanent ban depending on what happened.
